Personal statement
Compassionate and empathic individual with core values in social justice, anti-racism, and trauma-informed care, pursuing a mid-life career change from over a decade in administrative support to a career in professional counselling. Experience includes direct care of adults and children with individuals with physical disability, developmental delays, and mental health diagnoses and related behaviour challenges. I am currently seeking a nine-month practicum and internship position to meet the requirements of my master’s degree to prepare for supervision for licensure.
